Add/Drop & Withdrawal Deadlines

Effective as of Fall Semester 2021

This policy referred to as the WVPU Add, Drop and Withdrawal policy may differ slightly from similar policies of Webster University – Webster Groves or other international campuses.

It is the student's responsibility to file the appropriate course Add, Drop and Withdrawal form by the stated deadlines. These form can be found in each academic department.

The policy consists of a schedule of deadlines and refund rates applied to students taking courses at WVPU. The schedule is as follows:

  Deadline 12-week course (semester) REFUND 5, 8-week course (term) REFUND 3-week (May term)
Add Friday of Week 1 -- -- First day of class
Drop Friday of Week 1* 100% 100% Day 2 of class: 100%
Withdrawal Friday of Week 2* 50% 50% Day 3 of class: 0%
Withdrawal After Refund Deadline Varies** 0% 0% 0%

* In case courses beginning later than week 1, the deadlines for drop/withdrawal is extended to the end of the first and respectively second week of the first session.

** This has no effect on the terminal dates by which students may withdraw from courses, which remains as indicated in the Course Withdrawal sections of Webster University's undergraduate and graduate catalogs up to and including the Friday of the 6th week of an 8-week course and the Friday of the 9th week of a semester course.
