After receiving his undergraduate degree in Business Administration from the University of Missouri -- Columbia, Prof. Roy E. Overmann worked for 34 years as a Senior Accountant at Ameren Corporation in St. Louis. From 1969 to 1972, he worked as a Liaison for Officers in the U.S. Army, Canadian Army, and West German Army at a NATO Headquarters in Seckenheim, West Germany. In the late 1970s, Prof. Overmann received his Masters Degree in English Literature from Washington University. In the 1990s, he attended the PhD Program in Political Science at the University of Missouri -- St. Louis (in 1996). He has been teaching for 16 years at Webster University, in the Department of History, Politics, and International Relations and the Department of Communications and Journalism. Prof. Overmann has been married for 41 years and has one daughter and one granddaughter.
