Tamara Rhomberg has been in education for 50 years during which time she has taught all grades from preschool to postgraduate level.  She holds a bachelor of science degree in elementary education from Southeast Missouri State University and a master’s degree in education from Maryville University. She began her teaching career as a second-grade teacher in the Lindbergh School District. Ms. Rhomberg served as a reading specialist for 10 years at Kellison Elementary in the Rockwood School District and as Language Arts Coordinator and K-5 Reading Intervention Coordinator for Rockwood for 13 years. Upon retiring from public education, she served as a National Literacy Consultant for 6 years for Zaner-Bloser Publishing Company. She is currently an independent educational consultant and an Adjunct Professor at Webster University in the School of Education. Ms. Rhomberg is currently serving as a Director on the Rockwood School Board. She is an active/officer/director/ member of local, state, and national literacy organizations and presents locally and nationally on a variety of literacy topics. In 2012 she received the Missouri State IRA Council Literacy Award.
