Resources for Research

Subject Liaison Librarians

Whatever your academic area, Webster has a subject librarian who specializes in supporting your courses and your research. The link above explains how your subject librarian can help you and your students, and tells you how to get in touch with the subject librarian who covers your discipline.

Office of Research and Sponsored Programs

Webster’s ORSP seeks to support faculty research and scholarship that will ultimately strengthen educational and research experiences for Webster’s students and promote opportunities for external funding and recognition. Contact ORSP for help developing a research agenda, locating appropriate sources of funding, and developing research proposals.

Faculty Development Center

The FDC at Webster University exists to support and promote the achievement of excellence in teaching, learning, and scholarship of Webster's worldwide community of faculty. To support faculty research, the FDC offers regular Writing Retreats together with the Library, individual consultations about research and teaching, and support for the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning through faculty learning communities and an annual Teaching Festival.

Writing Center

Not just for students, the Writing Center and Online Writing Center provide services for the entire Webster community. As a faculty member, you can schedule an individual coaching session, and the Reeg Academic Resource Center website provides a useful list of Writing Tips relevant to many levels of writers as well as a Helpful Links page with various writing resources and documentation style guides.

Institutional Review Board

If your research involves human subjects, you will need to go through IRB training and submit an IRB application. The page above explains this process and provides links to all the necessary documentation.
