Technology Resources

Connections is a web portal that you'll use to access many of the online resources and services at Webster, including email, grade entry, online courses, the Student Success Portal, and more. Visit the Connections Support page for step-by-step instructions on how to log in and any other questions you might have.

Office 365

Webster's Microsoft Office 365 subscription gives students, faculty, and staff online access to the Microsoft Office applications from nearly any device, including email, shared calendaring, and online storage. Plus, it allows you to download the full MS Office 2016 suite onto multiple personal devices. In order to access many of Webster's other technical tools (including Connections), you'll need to register for Office 365, and instructions are available here.

Teaching and Learning Technology

Webster University offers a wide array of online technologies that support teaching and learning, and the Faculty Development Center is happy to serve as your partner in exploring these tools for your own instruction. The link above provides an explanation of important teaching technologies you have access to as a Webster faculty member.

WorldClassRoom Support

This page provides information about using WorldClassRoom (Webster's learning management system) to enhance your courses. It outlines how you might use the tools available in WorldClassRoom (such as discussions, assignments, and grading) and offers some suggestions on getting started.

Information Technology Service Desk

Webster's IT Service Desk is the single point of contact for all technology issues, and this page explains how to contact the Service desk by phone or email with any questions you might encounter.

Concourse is an online syllabus tool used to create clear and consistent syllabi, and it helps you to organize your course and communicate learning outcomes, course expectations, and university policy to students. For faculty who are expected to use this tool (check with your school or department), Concourse can be located through Connections in the Faculty Tab. See the example/training syllabus or the Concourse Guide for more information.

Student Success Portal

The Student Success Portal allows faculty and staff to efficiently work together to support your students' progress. You are encouraged to use the Student Success Portal to raise flags when you have concerns about your students (such as attendance or grade concerns), when you'd like to recognize their progress (you can give them kudos for improvement, excellent work, leadership, and more), or when you'd like to direct them to helpful resources (such as the Library or Tutoring Center).
You can access the Student Success Portal through Connections and WorldClassRoom, and you can find resources on using the Student Success Portal on the Resources for Faculty page of the Student Success Portal website.
