 is a web portal that provides access to Webster's online services. Your Connections ID and password give you access to Webster e-mail, wireless internet, FTP, and online course services, groups, calendars and announcements. It also provides customizable content in the form of tabs, channels, and news feeds. Contact the Faculty Development Center with questions about using Connections or visit the Connections Support page.

WorldClassRoom (powered by Canvas) is the Learning Management System (LMS) used at Webster. It offers a platform for instructors to post class announcements, share course syllabi, provide learning materials, manage online discussions, collect and grade assignments, facilitate quizzes, and track grades. Webster's Microsoft Office 365 subscription gives students, faculty, and staff online access to the Microsoft Office applications from nearly any device. Office 365 will provide many productivity and collaboration services to the Webster University community - online hosted email, shared calendaring, additional online storage with OneDrive, Office in the cloud and so much more. Register Your Office 365 Account. Turnitin is a plagiarism detection tool, which is available within Canvas. Turnitin’s originality check helps instructors check students’ work for improper citation or potential plagiarism by comparing it against a huge text comparison database, including webpages, student papers, leading library databases, and publications. Qualtrics is an online survey program that allows you to create and distribute surveys and run analysis and reports. Webster has a campus-wide license available to all faculty, staff, and students. Lynda.com offers a large collection of video tutorials that are accessible to faculty, staff, and students. These tutorials range from software training to business skills to topics in education. We strongly encourage you to examine what Lynda.com has to offer and see if any of the content can supplement your instruction outside of the classroom. Visit Lynda.com.

WebEx is the university's video conferncing service that can be used by any of its academic departments. The software allows you to virtually meet with students, colleagues, and others from all across the globe, using audio, video, and screen sharing to communicate and collaborate. Media & Academic Technology Services (MATS) will provision an account for any department that requests it, and support and training is available from both MATS and the Faculty Development Center. Concourse is an online syllabus tool used to create clear and consistent syllabi. Faculty use this tool to create syllabi that can help them organize their course and clearly communicate learning outcomes, course expectations, and university policy to students. Data-Planet claims to be the largest repository of standardized and structured statistical data. It offers over 90 billion data points, 2 billion time series, and 5,000 datasets. Topics vary from key economic indicators to the digitial agenda for Europe to participation in college athletics to progress on the Millennium Develpment Goals. Data can be displayed in various charts, maps, timelines, and rankings as well as exported for further analysis. Whether for your own research or to further the data literacy of your students, you are sure to find data relevant to your course in Data-Planet. ARTstor is a nonprofit digital library of over one million images in the arts, architecture, humanities, and social sciences. It offers a set of software tools to view, present, and manage images for research and teaching purposes.  Images in the collection are contributed by outstanding museums, photographers, libraries, schoolars, photo archives, and artists and artists' estates from around the world.
