SA Mexico LogoThe Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara (UAG), Mexico's oldest private university, was founded in 1935. UAG is coeducational, independent, and autonomous.  The University is proud of its authentic Mexican heritage but also able to emphasize its focus on international education.

UAG has a current enrollment of 15,000 students, 85 percent Mexican while 15 percent come from 25 different countries. The institution employs 780 full-time and 640 part-time faculty with excellent credentials. The University offers 50 undergraduate majors, 33 areas of graduate specialization, 20 master's programs and 3 doctorates.

Webster University and UAG have a longstanding exchange agreement which provides students with unique immersion experiences in both the United States and Mexico.

UAG's location in Guadalajara is within a safe region of Mexico, despite violence in other areas of the country.  Webster University stays informed of this situation, and considers all travel alerts and warnings issued by the U.S. Department of State.  Webster University will not automatically cancel this program for any U.S. Department of State travel warnings that are not specific to Guadalajara. As always, students should take precaution and be safe while traveling overseas.
