Summer 2020 Course Options
The University of Oviedo’s summer session is a two-month intensive program in Oviedo, Spain. Students earn six credits of Spanish language coursework. They enroll in classes at the Casa de las Lenguas, a language institute within the university. Various levels of Spanish are offered, from beginner to advanced.
Prior to departure for Spain, a language test is administered in order to place students into the appropriate levels of Spanish. In addition to the language tracks, the following optional courses are available:
- Conversational Spanish (Focus on Hispanic Culture) (All Levels)
- Business Spanish (Advanced Level Only)
- Spanish and Hispanic American Literature (Intermediate and Advanced Levels Only)
- History and Art of Spain (Intermediate and Advanced Levels Only)
Courses at the University of Oviedo can count for Spanish Major and Minor credit as well as GCP. Be sure to speak with your Study Abroad Advisor for additional details on the course evaluation process.

Application Deadline
